• CAR FREE •

Getting around town via bike at first might sound a little daunting. But Jared and I decided that we wanted to give it a try and it's been one of the best decisions that we have made! Getting around town now is so much easier and less stressful than in a car. Plus, we've also been able to find little gems around the city that we wouldn't have otherwise.

Being minimalist has really helped us to get rid of the clutter in our lives and slow down a bit. Now that we bike to get pretty much everywhere we've been able to simplify our lives even more. There is a cool group called the Alternative Travel Project that is encouraging people not use their car just once a week. Do you think you could do it?

• CAMP •

Need a getaway? Go camping.
We're always looking for great places to camp. Where do you like to go?

• THREE BAGS •

Before we made our biggest move we decided to become minimalist. Since we'd already by this time moved four times in our short two years of marriage we realized that owning less things would be better for us in the long run.

So we set out a goal and actually went a little farther and managed to fit all that we needed to be happy in just three bags. I know that eventually we will add things to this and then probably get rid of other things, but for now it's nice to know that no matter what life throws at us we can be as ready as possible.

Life is an amazing journey!

When I find a gluten-free, dairy-free product
at the store that actually tastes good.

LET'S READ • SILVERSTEIN

As a child I was never a very big reader. I still wouldn't consider myself a big reader especially when looking at my husband. But these poem and drawing books by Silverstein have always been dear to my heart. I love how random and real they are. I've been working on a new project and it wasn't until yesterday that I realized that some of my inspiration was in a way coming from these books.

What books have inspired you?

• SOUTH KOREA •

We didn't get to stay in South Korea for very long, but from what we've seen we'd love to go back someday. We even got to meet royalty!

• CITY OF COLORS •

I think there is a direct correlation between hot climates and bright colors because Thailand was incredibly hot and unbelievably colorful. Every street was filled with movement, life and enchantment.

• GOLDEN TEMPLE •

From large temples to small shrines there are lots of places for people to worship in Thailand. The grounds are very quiet as monks dressed in bright colored robes walk around the grounds.

• PEOPLE OF THAILAND •

The Thai people seem to have an interesting mix of both slow-relaxed and fast paced.
